In order to facilitate flipping the airplane from one side to another,
I decided to make a panel which will bolt to the firewall that I can hoist,
then rotate the fuselage around it's long axis. I made some spacer blocks
from some scrap 3/4" thick plywood.

I used dowel pins to position these spacer blocks in preparation for the lifting panel.

Four spacer blocks ready to be mated with the lifting panel.

Found a piece of 3/4" plywood large enough to use for the lifting panel.
I propped it up on a little bench and Jo held it up for this photo.

I drilled through the lifting panel into the spacers and screwed them together
while everything was in position on the firewall.

Then, temporarily remove the spacers, apply glue, and screw and clamp.
