This is my painting area. It's pretty terrible. Any dust, pollen, bugs, etc in the
air seems to inevitably find it's way into my fresh paint. Grrr.
If you click on the picture to view the larger image, you can easily see the kind of
dust nibs I'm constantly battling.
More of the same.
Yet more of the same. It's so bad that I basically have to sand and repaint about
50% of the parts I paint. Then, of those that get repainted, about 50% have the same
problem and need repainted *again*. I think I have one part I've painted four different
times. This is just rediculous, and pretty demoralizing, to be honest.
I decided to make up a makeshift paint booth. It certainly won't be perfect, but the
situation can't get much worse. Here is how it's going to go together. All parts are
just dry-fitted at this point.
I used PVC cement to glue the elbows to one of the side tubes. These tubes and
elbows will be removable so I can fold / roll this rig up when not in use.
