I probably should have done this before molding the second pocket, but I did a fit check.
Fits very well.
Decided to drill and countersink for the DZUS 1/4 turn fastener that will latch the door.
Doing this before painting so I end up with that sweet "gold rivet in black paint" look. :-)
Had some localized delamination during the drilling and countersinking processes, so I attempted
to re-saturate those areas with some 5 minute epoxy, then re-touched the countersinks with
the bit and smoothed out the hole after it cured.
Here's the plate for the 1/4 turn DZUS fastener.
Both pockets ready for painting. I added strings so that I can hang them upside down
immediately after painting. They don't need to be perfect...they're just pockets after all,
but might as well try to minimize the amount of crud that gets into the paint.
