Painting interior parts and side panel pocket mold
I've been painting a number of the interior parts with Rustoleum Satin Black. Here are
a couple of them (the roll bar bottom mounts) baking in the oven. About 2 hours at 170 to
200 F bakes the finish to a nice, hard coating.
Mold re-primed and drying in the sun.
I painted this roll bar support a while back. It had a sag on one side, so I wet sanded that
out and repainted it. Afterwards it had a sag on both sides. :-( Sigh. Another round of
wet sanding (both sides this time) and a third coat of paint turned out pretty well. A tiny
bit of orange peel, but good enough.
After sanding the primer with 2000 grit sandpaper (a much finer finish than the 600 grit I
had used previously), I started coating with multiple coats of paste wax. This paste wax was
free (thanks, Dad!), but I wish it didn't have such a strong floral scent. Will use it up,
then buy some non-smelly wax next time.
