The little pushrod connecting the canopy latch handle to the bellcrank is at quite an angle when the canopy handle is closed. So, the forward rod end bearing interferes with the bellcrank. I installed, marked, removed, filed this a little bit until I had it notched sufficiently to clear the rod end and pushrod. I probably could have made a good guess at what this notch was going to look like when I designed it in CAD, but decided to just do it using the actual pushrod and bearing.
