I've been thinking about how to connect the canopy latch handle on the side of the
fuselage to the shaft that actuates the popup tipup mechanism. While pondering, it occurred
to me that the NACA duct and associated SCAT (CAT? CEET? SCEET?) leading to the eyeball vent
are going to create problems. I temporarily taped the NACA duct in place on the inside of
the fuselage and evaluated where the pushrod would need to go relative to that. Sure
enough, that pushrod wants to go right through the whole shebang. Hrm...
...and at teh aft end, if I make the pushrod clear all that stuff, it's way too low to
hook up to the canopy latch handle.
