Since my heat treat oven is undergoing some updates to improve the temperature control,
I ordered some -O material from Air Parts. I used a strip of .050 thick material to do a
bending test and form this bending guide. This piece has a near-zero bend radius, and the
bend is parallel to the grain direction, yet it didn't crack. Makes me think my prior parts
were not completely annealed. Of course, in the interest quick turnaround, my ramp-down
cycle was somewhat faster than as per the specification. That may have affected the anneal.
I marked out the doublers, and cut them out (slightly oversized) with snips. Later, I
squared them up on the shear and cut them to size (7" x 4.5").
