Well, this is a detail little item, but I decided to design up a placard for my pitch trim knob. Here, it may look like I'm going to drill the center of this plate, but I'm just getting it centered under a drill bit.

The plan is to use a scotchbrite pad to create a nice circular pattern before anodizing this plate.

The red scotchbrite pad was too coarse, so I had to sand the piece smooth and try again using a blue pad. Came out good this time. Ready for anodizing, then engraving, followed by re-anodizing.
